So, the secret is out. Today at the Royal Festival Hall we launched an ambitious plan to build a permanent memorial to David Bowie in his Brixton birthplace.

The Ziggy Zag will stand 9 metres tall—a bolt from above. Plans have been drawn up in consultation with Bowie’s teams in London and New York, and we’re taking the rather brave step of trying to raise the money through crowdfunding. Fingers crossed eh!

The announcement has certainly generated a fair amount of press around the world—here’s a rather odd BBC news item, with our Charlie looking like a man possessed, and some rather Brixtonian Brixtonians being typically divisive on the news! We wouldn’t have it any other way.
